Medals: Miraculous Medal (5 pack) [3/4", Oval] 
  The Miraculous Medal, or Medal of the Immaculate Conception, was
  originated through Saint Catherine Laboure following her vision of
  the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1830. It is an approved sacramental and
  carries Mary's promise:"Those who wear it will receive great graces;
  abundant graces will be given to those who have confidence." 
  Front: Mary stands on the globe as Queen of Heaven and Earth, crushing
  the head of a serpent beneath her foot. Around the margin of the
  medal are the words "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us
  who have recourse to thee". 
  Back:Twelve stars encircle a large "M" surmounted by a cross,
  with a crossbar beneath it, and under all the Sacred
  Hearts of Jesus
  and Mary, the former surrounded
  by a crown of thorns, and the
  latter pierced by a sword. from which arises
  a cross. 
  Medals should be blessed by a priest.
